Whats that you say? Did you say red? Thats just what I said. Red lips have made their way back to center stage. Just check out the runways. Designers Paul Smith and Betsey Johnson are two designers that took the strawberry tint to the runways C and oh so flirty they are!

Red lips are feminine and flirty. Now we are not talking about the blood red of the past. Remember Marilyn Monroe with those big red lips? Now thats a thing of the past!

What we are seeing now is luscious poppy hues, glosses and tints which are ever so sensual and seductive! Red should never be overdone C your lips should have the tint of just having eaten a cherry popsicle.

Apply a light, not obvious, outline with your lip liner to stop bleeding and to help your color last longer. Red has a tendency to make your lips smaller. A trick to avoid this is to place eye concealer on the top of the lip color in the middle of the upper and lower lip.

Your lip color should be the last makeup you apply. Applying a bit of lip balm prior to application of your lipstick will add moisture to your lips. Use a lip liner that is one shade darker than your lipstick and start at the center of your upper lip working outwards.

If you have thin lips stay close to the outer edges to open up your lips. If you have excessively full lips, stay well within the edges to down play overly full lips. Although these days its hard to imagine you would have lips that were too full.

Women are using various techniques to get those full lips. So you ladies with too full of lips dont be complaining too loudly. Apply your lipstick or lip gloss, then dab. Thats it youre ready to go.
